From Lived Experience to Systems Change

Kimberly A. Bowman is a writer, speaker, consultant, and advocate helping families, professionals, and communities better understand mental illness — and build systems that respond with clarity, compassion, and effectiveness.

LET'S GET STARTED!

Work With Kimberly

Writing, speaking, consulting, and customized training rooted in lived experience, executive leadership, and deep understanding of mental health and public systems.

Kimberly A. Bowman brings together something rarely found in one voice — deep lived experience, executive leadership, and a relentless commitment to better outcomes for people living with serious mental illness and the families who love them.

Her work sits at the intersection of mental health, justice, advocacy, and systems change. She understands the realities of crisis, hospitalization, incarceration, homelessness, and the exhaustion families carry — not only from professional experience, but from her own life.

That perspective changes how she speaks. It changes how she teaches. And it changes how she helps others see what is possible.

Paws For Impact:
Canines Supporting First Responders

Paws For Impact is a specialized initiative of Insight To Impact Foundation designed to support the emotional wellness of first responders through certified canine teams.

First responders carry extraordinary burdens. They are often exposed to trauma, chronic stress, emotional fatigue, and the weight of helping others through crisis. Yet many work in cultures where stress is normalized and support is underutilized.
